The crazy auction day of TATA IPL 2022 started, as expected; it has given mind-boggling surprises to cricket fans and cricketers.

Day One of Auction 2022 ends with some crazy drafting in the History Of the Indian Premier League. 

Mumbai Indian retained the Youth Ishan Kishan with the Second Highest Bid of the IPL - 15CR. "The Highest Bid was Yuvraj Singh in 2015 - 16 Crores"

 

The reason behind the highest Bid for Ishan Kishan is his performance in first-class and international cricket. Ishan Kishan was Incredible IN his first-class career, which led him to get selected in the International team. He made his International debut in the T20's against Sri Lanka in 2021. "He made a debut fifty in his first Match." 

 

Kishan's hard work and Resilience paid off, and he is currently leading the Highest Bid of 2022, 15 Crores.

Kolkata Night Rider's was the Runner-up of the 2021-22 IPL. Chennai Super Kings Defeated the Riders to Claim the IPL 2021-22 Trophy. 

Therefore the Knight Riders Secured many good players with the Combination of Young and Experienced on their Side.  

 

They bought 9 Players and created a balanced Squad for IPL 2022. The Knight Riders Team Players - VenkateshIyer, Nitish Rana, ShreyasIyer, Sheldon Jackson, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, ShivamMavi, Varun Chakraborty 

 

The Highest Bid Kolkata Night Rider's Made was For ShreyasIyer - 12.25 Crore.

 

Chennai Super Kings 


The Defending Champions Chennai Super Kings is again back to conquer the 2022 IPL Trophy.

The Team Management Statergicly planned and Backed 4 Of Their Players early in the 2022 IPL Players Retaining Policy. 

 

Players LikeRuturaj Gaikwad (6 Crore), Moeen Ali (8 Crore), RavindraJadeja (16Crore) MS Dhoni (12 Crore) were retained by the Kings. 

 

Chennai Super Singh was left with 48 Crores to Invest in the Players and fill their Squad. Hence CSK bought Versatile Players like DJ Bravo, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayadu, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, and Tushar Deshpande.

CSK made their Highest Bid on the All-rounder, Deepak Chahar - 14 Crores.

 

Chahar has been Impressing everyone by representing the National Squad and winning Games for team India in Pressure Situations. He is both handy with the bat and ball. Definitely, he is one of the Crucial players in the Chennai Super Kings Line-up.

 

Delhi Capitals 


Delhi Capitals is always known for its Young Squad. They performed outstandingly well in the 2021-22 IPL and ended the Group Stage at the top of the Points Table. 

 

Hence they lost to KKR in the Playoffs failed to qualify for the finals to win their first IPL Trophy. 

 

Delhi Capitals made the most of the Mega Auction of IPL 2022. They brought the Nostalgic Delhi Daredevils Hero David Warner Back in the Side. "SRH did not retain Warner, and DD got him back in the Side." 

 

Delhi Capitals have players like David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Sarfaraz Khan, KS Bhagat, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, AndMustafizur Rahman on their Side. 

 

Delhi has made his highest Bid and got David Warner for 6.25 Crores. 

 

Gujarat Lions 

Gujarat Lions is one of the two new teams introduced in the IPL 2022. They have a full new squad with a combination of versatile Indian and Overseas Players. 

 

They Bought New Players Like Subham Gill, Jason Roy, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Shami, Lockie Ferguson, R Sai Kishore, and Noor Ahmad.

This year a new team has been introduced, called Lucknow Super Giants. Now IPL has total 10 teams for the IPL 2022 Trophy.

Mumbai Indian didn't make too many bids and secured only four in the Auctions. 

Mumbai bought Ishan Kishan, Dewald Brevis, Basil Thampi, MuruganAshwin

 

Mumbai shocked everyone in the Auctions, as expected, and made their Highest Bid on Ishan Kishan - 15.25 Crore. 

 

Rajasthan Royals 

Rajasthan Royals have one of the Strongest Teams in IPL 2022. 

Rajasthan bought ShimronHetmyer, DevduttPadikkal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, YuzvendraChahal, KC Kariappa, RavichandranAshwin, Riyan Parag.

 

The Youth Prasidh Krishna got the Highest Priority from the Rajasthan Royal side. The Royals bought Prasidh Krishna for 10Crore. 

 

Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Challenge brought their old players back in their Side. 

Bangalore has Faf Du Plessis, Dinesh Kartik, AnujRawat, Akash Deep, Harshat Patel, WaninduHasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Shahbaz Ahmed.

Punjab Kings 

The Punjab Kings did well this year in terms of selecting the players and Focused more on their Batting Lineup.

 

They have Got ShikharDhawan, Johnny Bairstow, Prabhsimran Singh, Jitesh Sharma, KagisoRabada, Rahul Carter, Ishan Porel, Shahrukh Khan, HarpreetBrar.

 

They spent their big cash on the South African Fast Bowler KagisoRaabta and made the Highest Bid - 9.25 Crore.

The First Day of the Auction was action-packed with Teams securing Key Players. We also witnessed the Highest Bids - Hence fans are excited to watch the Second Day of the Auctions - February 13, 2022
