Eoin Morgan stated that to defeat the Kiwis in the semis would be a great victory with his five men injured. Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer were retired hurt from the very start of the tournament while Sam Curran and Tymal Mills got injured during the knockout matches and the last blow was when Jason Roy got hurt in his calf muscles.
