Three successive home defeats to Barcelona and Ajax saw them being dumped out of the Copa del Ray and Champions league. League is still mathematically possible, but Barca giving up 9 points and losing the lead seems too far fetched.

This season was always going to be difficult for Real. Never it seemed that Solari would stay beyond summer. With no titles left to play they should focus on finishing the season strongly.

Real should focus on hiring the right coach who can not only take Real to trophies once again but also nurture the youngsters in Madrid and shape them to become to be the best players. Here, we take a look at three names that can be the right managerial candidate for Real Madrid.

1. Mauricio Pochettino

The Argentinian has worked wonders for Spurs, changing them from a top-four hopeful to genuine title contenders. Spurs under him have also reached Champions league quarter finals. His team plays an attractive brand of football and he has nurtured quite a few youngsters to world stars. Dealing with Levy might prove difficult for Perez.

2. Jurgen Klopp

This man needs no introduction. Former coach of Dortmund, he has changed Liverpool to arguably the most frightening team in Premier League and one of the two teams to be in tittle race this season. His team plays attacking football and with wealth backing he would receive at Madrid, one can only imagine how good can he be at Madrid.

3. Jose Mourinho

Possibly the easiest of the targets available in market. He was sacked by Manchester United and has since been out of work. He has worked earlier with Real winning league, against possibly the best Barcelona side, and Copa del Ray. He is still a favorite of Perez but there are players who have revolted against him from his earlier term still in Madrid. He has also been accused of not giving young players chance which might work against him.
